PDFlo Positive Displacement Flow Meters for Industrial Service

PDFlo positive displacement flow meters are affordable and accurate. One primary feature is their ability to maintain consistent accuracy despite changing viscosity conditions. This reliability, coupled with a large turndown range, offers an affordable replacement for older turbine technology. The meter's solid construction and excellent dynamic response are well suited to the measurement of oil, grease, fuel, solvents, polyurethanes, brake fluid, Skydrol as well as other nonabrasive lubricating fluids.

Description

Specification

The PDFlo Helical Gear Flow Meter is constructed of two highly accurate cycloid shaped screw spindles that mesh and rotate inside the cylindrical housing with two overlapping holes in the form of a figure 8, forming the measuring chamber. Its lower pressure drop makes this meter perfect for measuring polyurethanes and polymer, glues and sealing materials and heavy fuel oils.

Materials of Construction: stainless steel
Accuracy: +/-0.5%
Repeatability: +/-0.1%
Max Fluid Temperature: 300°F (higher temperature options available upon request)

PDFlo Transmitters

Description

Specification

The PDFlo meter-mounted digital flow monitor housed in a Class I Div. I Rated Enclosure. A large, back-lighted LCD graphic display provides easy to read indication of flow rate or total in user programmable engineering units. It is offered in two versions – a 4-wire, 24 VDC transmitter with pulse output (RT-Ex15); a 2-wire, battery-operated transmitter (RT-Ex10) for applications where power is not available.

Power Requirement: RT-Ex15 – 15-24 VDC/200mA (customer supplied); RT-Ex10 – Internal 3.6V "C" cell battery, field-replaceable.
Sensor/Monitor Frequency Range: RT-Ex15 – 0-400 Hz; RT-Ex10 – 0-3,000 Hz
Analog Output: 4-20 mA
Enclosure Certifications: Class I, Groups B,C,D; Class II, Groups E,F,G; Class III; Atex: EEx d IIC, IP68; NEMA 4X, 7BCD, 9EFG

PDFlo Intelligent Convertor

Description

Specification

The PDFlo Frequency-to-Current (F-to-I) and Frequency-to-Voltage (F-to-V) converters are microprocessor-based devices designed to provide an analog output directly from a PDFlo sensor connected to the PDFlo Positive Displacement Flow Meter. The converters measure and calculate the flow rate of the flow meter and produce an analog output representative of that flow rate, in the form of a 4-20 mA or 0-5 VDC signal.

Power Supply: Loop-powered 6 volt maximum insertion loss
Power Consumption: 25 mA maximum
Frequency Range: 0-3500 Hz
Analog Output: 4-20 mA
Operating Temperature: -22 °F (-30 °C) to 158 °F (70 °C)
Area Classification: Class 1, Div. 1, Groups A,B,C,D,E,G
